Our Journey
The Inception
The concept of Golden Louts was born from a collective desire among a group of passionate filmmakers and cultural activists in Algeria to create a dedicated space for short film appreciation and industry growth.
Building the Foundation
Partnerships were forged with key institutions, including SIIROL and the Ministry of Culture and Arts. The official festival committee was formed, and the call for entries was launched globally.
The First Edition
The inaugural edition of the Golden Louts International Short Film Days takes place, welcoming over 60 films from 20+ countries, marking the beginning of a new era for short cinema in the region.
